It’s 40 years this year since England beat the then West Germany 4-2 at Wembley stadium in what is hailed as possibly the best World Cup Final so far, with Sir Goeff Hurst scoring the first and so far only hat-trick, in a final.

So, that was in England 40 years ago but now it’s reversed and it’s in Germany and time for England perhaps to win it again, but this time on German soil!!!!

So make sure you join us at the Bridge for all of England’s matches live on the big screen (and maybe some others for those amongst us who are from a more Germanic persuasion!)

….so I thought I’d update you on what’s been going on in the world according to me!

Just returned from 4 days away with Haslucks Green Junior School at MaenGwynedd Outdoor Education Centre. This centre is in Wales and is (currently) owned and run by Solihull Council for Solihull Schools to take children and young people away to. The activities done there are things such as rock climbing, abseiling, caving, archery etc. The place is falling apart and is need of massive repair…..it leaks in the rain and when you have so much rainfall each year, that really isn’t too good!!! It was due to close this year but it looks like it may have a saviour who wants to take it over and develop it further eventually.

It really is a great place to go and an amazing setting in the Welsh hills. The weather was very wet which was a shame but we still managed to get out and do loads of stuff.

Back into the swing of things now and busy planning the Dream Project-Nigeria 2007 - www.dreamprojectnigeria.org

Already, I have about 7 application forms back in which is great. We are hoping to take 100 UK young people to Jos, Nigeria next Easter to clean up rubbish, paint houses and basically have a life-changing experience.
