Maybe the CHAV’s have it right for a change….

This CHAV was caught pretending to shoot David Cameron.

Maybe there are other ways to sort out our politicians in this country but I felt this was perhaps an interesting take on how to do it!! However, I suppose it does show the state of many of our young poeple’s lives and how in need they are of so much more than empty words and promises form politicians. In fact, their only real hope is an encounter with Jesus Christ which is only likeley to happen when more Christians ‘give up’ their lives and ’surrender’ to the will of God for them to live amongst these young people and literally ‘live out’ the love of Jesus among them.

Its happening in Manchester and other towns and cities but we need more of it and, not just in the inner city. We are desperate for youth workers to join us here in Shirley, Solihull as the need is massive but the workers are few….ring in any bells Bible lovers?

Anyway, were praying to God to reveal His plans to us and we believe He will show us the way.

COME ON!!

Let it snow….

…let it snow, let it snow!

I love snow! At last we have had a significant downfall that enables children ‘like me’ to go sledging etc. Its been way too long. I know I sound old but, we always had snow at winter time when I was a kid and I reckon that its a time when good childhood memories can be built.

There is nothing like sledging down a hill and wondering if you are going to break a leg by hitting the unfortunately placed fence or wall. Or, snowball fights that end up with your fingers feeling like they are on fire cos they are so cold. Or, building the obligatory snowman.

We went sledging with our kids yesterday to my old stomping ground at Shirestone Park, Tile Cross. There is just enough hill to make it worthwhile but its not too excesive to get back to the top. It seems that, due to the severe lack of decent snowfall over the past few years, that everyone now goes crazy when it does snow. I saw several very large ’snowballs’ rolled by young people that were absolutely massive! It was if this was all new to them and this was the first time they had ever had the pleasure of rolling a snowball till it got too large to roll…..and it probably was!

Is it wrong to pray for snow? I dont think so! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
